Hi! I am Clara!
My job involves working with people to bring them a sense of relaxation and wellbeing.
Having worked in childcare and with children of my own, my hands and my mind were so busy taking care them and being a good role model, that I never stopped to think about myself until day by day and unpleasant pain took over my body. Stress was taking over and was manifesting on the physical level. It took me a while to figure out what was wrong with me. I was so used to being stressed, I didn’t even know that I was stressed until I was at breaking point.
It was a “gift voucher” I got from a good friend that led me to visit a massage therapist for the first time. That experience was liberating and believe me I am not exaggerating when I say this. After that day, I went again and again from time to time. I became interested in massage after receiving the benefits both physically and mentally. That “ gift voucher” was like a ticket to a lifeboat”. I soon became fascinated in anatomy and how the human body works, how our well-being can be disturbed by stress and so I decided to explore the holistic side of massage. I started a new journey and I became a qualified Yoga teacher, reflexologist and holistic massage therapist. I qualified in Tui Na massage and I am also a qualified Acupuncturist. As a result, I feel blessed with a better understanding of life and the mind, body, soul connection.
Life has taught me that every one of us at one point will difficult situations that we will need help with. Sooner or later, after passing these times, we will come to “success” and overcome the difficulties.
In this busy life, we all have to face stressful situations.
Don’t let the stress take over!
Stress is a factor that is a threat to our health and wellbeing.
Stress can affect us gradually and wear down our immune system.
People experience stress in different ways and the negative effect will manifest differently in our mind, body and soul. Massage therapy can decrease the levels of cortisol ( a hormone contributing to stress). Being stressed for a long period of time can negatively affect our mind, body and soul:
- memory problems
- inability to concentrate
- brain fog
- skin complaints
- high blood pressure
- aches and pain
- frequent colds
- feeling overwhelmed
- mood swings
- insomnia or sleeping too much
